One new opera season for Europe

22 opera houses, 14 countries, one new opera season for Europe. Working with leading opera companies and festivals across the continent, the European culture channel ARTE will launch its new digital ARTE Opera Season on 27 September 2018. Productions in the ARTE Opera Season will be almost always streamed live and will then be available on replay. These operas can be streamed at least within Europe and in most cases worldwide.

Along with the Finnish National Opera, ARTE Opera Season will show live broadcasts from Festival d’Aix-en-Provence (Aix-en-Provence), Dutch National Opera (Amsterdam), Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Staatsoper Unter den Linden (Berlin), Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie (Brussels), Armel Opera (Budapest), Semperoper (Dresden), Staatsoper Hamburg (Hamburg), Opéra de Lausanne (Lausanne), Royal Opera House (London), Teatro Real (Madrid), Teatro alla Scala (Milan), Bayrische Staatsoper (Munich), Opéra Comique de Paris (Paris), Opéra National de Paris (Paris), Czech National Opera (Prague), Latvian National Opera (Riga), Opéra National du Rhin (Strasbourg), Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna), Wexford Festival Opera (Wexford) and Opernhaus Zürich (Zurich).

The Finnish National Opera will be broadcasting Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca in October 2018.
