Aida is the definition of a timeless opera classic. The Egyptian setting inspired the master composer Giuseppe Verdi to create magnificent music. The critically-acclaimed production of the Finnish National Opera alludes not only to the reign of the pharaohs, but also to the conflicts of the modern world.
Research Doctor Patricia Berg, composer Sebastian Fagerlund and dancer Anna Sariola will discuss the opera before the performance and during the intermission. Sami Sykkö hosts the conversation. The discussion will be held in Finnish.
Watch the live stream on Friday 12 April at 6.40 pm.
The live stream is a co-production of HS Live and Finnish National Opera and Ballet.
