The Glow of Lied – Nylund & Viitasalo

Star soprano Camilla Nylund frequently appears in the world’s most notable opera houses. For her recital at the Finnish National Opera, she will be joined by a celebrated collaborator-pianist Marita Viitasalo.

The magical combination of the voice and the piano has inspired many composers to create some of their most finest and touching masterpieces – this afternoon’s soloists delve deep into the  world of the golden era Lieder along with the music of Sibelius, Debussy, Wagner, and Strauss.

This event will mark the opening of a new facet, making vocal performance a salient feature of the collaboration of the PianoEspoo Festival and the Finnish National Opera.
