Presenting the new season

Showing the essence of humanity in an affecting way is part of the magic of performing arts. In the 2022/2023 season at the Finnish National Opera and Ballet we encounter the full colour palette of human emotions. Darker shades of suspicion, war and painful memories meet exhilarating joy and, of course, burning love. Welcome to the Finnish National Opera and Ballet.

The great opera epic continues

Die Walküre and Siegfried

The crown jewel of the 2022–2023 season is Der Ring des Nibelungen, Richard Wagner’s epic tetralogy by a Finnish creative team. The first two parts of the Ring will be seen in the upcoming season: Die Walküre (premiere 26.8.22) and Siegfried (24.3.23).
