Enjoy opera and ballet safely

With no more restrictions in place for public gatherings in Helsinki and the Uusimaa region, our entire auditorium capacity is back in use. 

Thank you for following these safety measures with us. This enables everyone to enjoy Finnish National Opera and Ballet performances in a safe environment, now and in the future.

Please stay home if you have symptoms

You can cancel your tickets and refreshments as late as 24 hours before the performance starts. Read more about cancelling tickets and see our sales terms and conditions for exceptions. Their value will be credited to your customer account. You must use all the credit in your user account during spring 2023.

Hygiene is paramount

Hand sanitiser is available in the vicinity of each cloakroom. Please cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue or your upper sleeve.

Keep your distance

Please maintain distance to other members of the audience, also while queuing. Adhere to the instructions provided and avoid close physical contact. Please arrive at the performance and the auditorium in good time.

How to ensure a safe visit

Arrival

Refreshments

  • Order refreshments in advance: online 24 hours before the performance, by phone Mon–Fri 10–18, Sat 12–18 or  at the customer service desk Mon–Fri 14–19, Sat 12–18.
  • On the day of the performance, you can order refreshments by phone for Mon-Fri performances by 16.00 on the same day. For Saturday performances, telephone orders must be placed by 16.00 on Friday.

At the Opera House

  • Please pay by card when possible.
  • Programme leaflets are only sold at the customer service desks of the Töölönlahti and Mannerheimintie entrances.
  • Take your seat in good time to prevent congestion.

Our personnel are happy to help you whenever necessary. We have also implemented stricter cleaning procedures, including the cleaning of surfaces during every performance.
