refurbishment takes place over the summer
The Opera House celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the building will be renovated and closed to visitors from 1 May to 31 August. The stage automation system of the Main Stage will be revamped, and the lobbies and foyers will see upgrades to the building systems as well as aesthetic improvements like repainting.
Our customer service point will be closed during the refurbishment, but we are still here to help. We’re at your service over the phone, via chat, and around the clock at our online store. You can also purchase tickets at the service desks of Stockmann department stores without reservation fees. Our customer service point will open 4 September at 12 p.m.

You can buy both tickets and refreshments at the customer service point. The entrance is located on the Töölönlahti bay side on Oopperankuja.
On performance days, the Opera Shop is open until the end of the 1st interval. If there is no interval, the shop closes when the performance starts.

Ongoing roadworks on Mannerheimintie
Transport connections are currently being impacted by the Mannerheimintie roadworks between and around the Kiasma Museum of Modern Art and the Opera House. Check the HSL Route Planner for information about your public transport connections.
Please account for possible congestion and longer travel times when arriving by private car.
Please also note that the zebra crossing across Mannerheimintie from the Opera House towards Runeberginkatu (next to the Carelia restaurant) is not in use.
